Obituary for William Roy Mitchell Sr.
William Roy Mitchell Sr., 71, a retired Lexmark employee, U.S. Navy veteran, widower of Elizabeth Ann Young Mitchell, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1944 in Bourbon County, son of the late William Richard and Edith Elam Mitchell. He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Marie Mitchell, North Middletown; two sons, Bobby Joe Mitchell, Lexington, Christopher Shawn Mitchell, Paris; ten grandchildren, Lynsey Short, Courtney McDaniel, Megan McDaniel, Brittany Riddle, Rachael Mitchell, Blake Mitchell, Gavin Mitchell, Shelby Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell, Dakota Mitchell; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Webb, Patricia Taylor; and two brothers, Doug Mitchell and Danny Mitchell. A son, William R. Mitchell Jr., preceded him in death. There are no services or visitation scheduled.
