Floyd Turner  Shannon
Floyd Turner Shannon, 79, owner of Shannon Home Improvement, husband of Wilma Watkins Shannon, died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born August 22, 1936 in Nicholas County, son of the late Herman Lee and Retta Minton Shannon and was a graduate of Nicholas County High School. In addition to his wife, Turner is survived by a daughter, Susan Marlene West, Christiana, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Harrison Tyler West, Louisville, Braeden Alexander West, Wilmore, Hayden Tate West, Wilmore; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jack Wilhite with visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
