Betty Darlington Collins, 86, widow of Chester Collins, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Saint Joseph Hospital. She was born January 5, 1930 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Marion D. and Maude Small Shaw. Betty attended Center Hill School, served as a volunteer at Bourbon Community Hospital, and was a member of First Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Calvin W. Collins, Jimmy Lee Collins, both of Paris; four grandchildren, Lori (Jason) Greenlee, Paris, Kendra Collins, Lexington, Wesley (Angela) Collins, Seattle, Washington, Ryan (Ashley) Collins, Paris; six great grandchildren, Landon Collins, Kynlee Collins, Tyler Greenlee, Cortland Greenlee, Haygen Greenlee, James Douglas Collins; and two sisters, Agnes McBee and Louise Hart, both of Cynthiana. A grandson, Jeffrey Wayne Collins, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, at First Church of God by Rev. Timothy W. Pierce and Rev. David Mefford with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be James Ammerman, Robert Brewer, Charles Woodford, Frankie Collins, Ryan Collins, Jason Greenlee, and Wes Collins. Honorary bearers will be Jay Caswell, Doug Martin, Carl Bailey, Utah Cox, Larry Stone, Junior Stevens, and Ronnie Bussell. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
