Obituary for Helen Lucky (Youngman)

Helen Y. Lucky, 92, widow of Robert Lucky, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the Hospice Care Center. She was born May 5, 1924 in Shelbyville, daughter of the late Clifton L. and Lucille Wright Youngman. Helen was a graduate of Finchville High School, formerly employed as a secretary for the Lexington V.A. Medical Center, worked in the Bourbon County Clerk’s office, marketing director for Kensington Residence, Lima, Ohio, and had served as a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, Paris. She is survived by a son, Robert G. A. Lucky; daughter Kitty Lucky Brown, both of Paris; a brother, Clifton Youngman Jr., Louisville; special friends, Jane Barlow, Judy and David Faulkner; and her grand puppies, Baby Boo and Gunner. She was preceded in death by a son, William Mark Davis; and a son-in-law, Ronald Brown. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Paris Cemetery Chapel by Ken Lucky. Honorary bearers will be Dorcas “Suzy” and John Robin Smits, David Smits, Travis Smits, Allen and Doris Williams, Sue and Wally Roe, Kathi Lucky, Ken Lucky, Ernie Lucky, Zereda Lucky, Utevia Decker, and Dr. Kenneth Brodsky. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Paris Cemetery Chapel.
