Obituary for Wanda Ray Linville (Hughes)

Wanda Ray Hughes Linville, 80, joined her husband, Charles Leroy Linville, Sr. in heaven on October 10, 2016.

Born Wanda Ray Hughes, December 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ray Eldon Hughes and Lucille Collins Hughes.

Her life’s work was as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her family was the focus of her attention and source of her happiness. Until the time of her death, Wanda worked tirelessly in the family business, Linville Electric Service, Inc., founded in 1965. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Paris, Kentucky, where she attended the Hannah Sunday School Class. Wanda relied heavily on her faith in both good times and bad.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 60 years, Charles Leroy Linville, Sr.

Wanda is survived by three children, Rita (Royce) Bugg, Debbie (John) Shivel, and Charles (Jennifer) Linville, Jr.; seven grandchildren whom she adored, Neil (Evan) Bugg, Scott (Sarah) Bugg, Charlie (Christina) Linville, Laura Linville, Olivia (Geoff) Martin, Evan (Christian) Linville, John Matthew Shivel , ten great grandchildren, a twin sister, Charlotte (Jerome) Harney, with whom she shared constant love and companionship, and a brother, Harry Gene (Janice) Collins.

Pallbearers will be Neil Bugg, Scott Bugg, Charlie Linville, Evan Linville, John Matthew Shivel and Geoff Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Redden Bugg, Carter Tipton, Donnie Cameron, Patrick Harney, Stuart Harney, Johnny Plummer and Bryan Bailey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Thursday until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery.
