Bertie Victor Myers, 83, a retired caregiver, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born July 14, 1933 in Paris, daughter of the late Benjamin and Maggie Washington Leer, was a graduate of Paris Western High School, and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. Bertie is survived by three daughters, Rebecca (David) Fitzgerald, Louisville, Maria Myers, Lexington, Dorothy “Missy” Myers, Paris; a son, Eddie Myers, Paris; two sisters, Flora Nichols, Priscilla Snowden, both of Paris; an aunt, Melissa Clay, Paris; sister-in-law, Doris Oliver, Paris; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Daniel Fister and Rev. John Curtis. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Stan Galbraith, Joel Shaw, Glenn Mackey, Doug Thomas, Mickey Mattingly, and Mark Mackey.
