Jane Miller Coleman was born May 5, 1923 in Barterville, Kentucky and went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 5, 2017, having reached the age of 93 years. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Odetta Miller.
She was united in marriage to the late Guy Pershing Coleman Jr. on July 4, 1942.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Debbie (Tom) Wells of Paris, Kentucky; a son, Gary (Tammy) Coleman of Lancaster, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Scott Christopher Coleman, Chad Wells, Justin Wells; nieces, Luanne Milward, Emily Thornbury, Cindy Hughes, Sylvia Keller; and nephews, Don Richards, David Richards, Ernie Richards, and Greg Wills.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Miller; her mother, Odetta Miller; her husband, Guy Coleman Jr.; her two sisters, Marie Richards, Reba Wills; and her brother, Coburn Miller.
Jane was a member of Paris First United Methodist Church where she was an active member who taught Sunday School and sang in the choir until she went to the Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. Jane was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was a homemaker and babysitter for many children through the years. She loved gardening and watching wildlife in her backyard.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, February 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hinton-Turner Funeral followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Jerri Williams and Rev. Gary Graves. Burial will be in the Carlisle Cemetery.
