Carol Marlene Rose, 75, a retired elementary school teacher, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Saint Joseph East Hospital. She was born July 6, 1941 in Paris, daughter of the late Joe Evans and Geneva Lee Humphries Kelly. Carol received her Master’s Degree from Eastern Kentucky University and was a member of Paris Christian Chapel. She is survived by a daughter, Julie Rose, Paris; grandson, Jacob Lee Stevens, Paris; a great friend, Vicki Bramblett; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jo Vickers; nephew, Jeffery Vickers; and a great, great nephew, Zachary Garrett. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 6, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Don Jolly with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tyler Garrett, Jordan Vickers, Richard Hamilton, Josh Bailey, Anthony McFarland, and Ian Portwood. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
