Mrs. Mattie McIntyre Wood Kirkpatrick, 87, departed this life on March 2, 2017. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born July 17, 1929, to the late Gordon Proctor and Caroline McIntyre Wood. She was also preceded in death by her sister Caroline Proctor Wood Blair. She was a lifelong resident of Millersburg, Kentucky. She graduated from Ward Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee and the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and was a UK Fellow. She was also a lifelong member of Millersburg Presbyterian Church and Women of the Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Ross Kirkpatrick, two children, Robert McIntyre Kirkpatrick (Winfrey) of Lexington; and Caroline Kirkpatrick Randolph (Tom) of Millersburg; grandchildren, William Host, Emily Host, Caroline Host and Isabelle Randolph. Funeral Services will be held at Millersburg Presbyterian Church on Monday March 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Millersburg Cemetery.
