Obituary for Phyllis Kay Power

Phyllis Kay  Power
Phyllis Kay Power, 72, long time resident of Bourbon County, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was born June 12, 1944 in Bath County, daughter of the late William Thomas and Mahala Rawlings Power and was a graduate of Bourbon County High School. Phyllis worked at the University of Kentucky Agricultural College and retired after many years as an agent with Woodford-Hill-Thompson Insurance Company. She was loved by her many friends and family and served as an inspiration to all who knew her. She was also a faithful member of the North Middletown Christian Church where she formerly served as a deacon. Phyllis is survived by her sister, Anna Lois Cleaver; her brother-in-law, Charles Cleaver; nephew, Edward (Vanessa) Cleaver; nieces, Pamela (Keith) Romans, Susan Cleaver; along with several great nephews, great nieces, and cousins. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by a 3:00 p.m. graveside service at North Middletown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Middletown Christian Church, PO Box 43, North Middletown, KY 40357 or Palliative Care Center of the Bluegrass, 2407 Members Way, Lexington, KY 40507.
