Betty Lou Hill Payne, 82, formerly of Lexington, KY, passed away March 6, 2017. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Bob Lupka; granddaughter and her husband Ashley and Adam Sheldon; great granddaughter, Hannah Sheldon; grandson, Ryan Lupka; sister, Edna Lee Jones; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of Bourbon County Vocational High School and Fugazzi Business College. She was known for her singing in school, church, and at weddings, and a member of The Lexington Singers. She was employed by the Fayette-Urban County Adult Services from 1962 to 1991. Shortly after retirement she moved to Johnson City, NY to be near her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on April 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, 526 Pleasant St, Paris. Burial will be held in Jacksonville Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
