Effie Jane Hatton Tubbs, 80, retired TB Hospital employee, wife of Mitchell Tubbs, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Heartland at Madeira in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born January 3, 1937 in Powell County, daughter of the late Ed and Suzanne Reynolds Hatton. In addition to her husband, Effie is survived by two daughters, Sue (Jim) Hoeft, Judy (Danny) Roe; four grandchildren, Frank (Crystal) Harney, Jeannie (Brandon) Jolly, Joseph Harney, Mike Roe; nine grandchildren, Katherine Harney, Autumn Harney, Brooklyn Harney, Mason Harney, McKayla Ginter, Dylan Jolly, Makenzie Jolly, Michaela Roe, Kate Roe; and a brother, Frank Hatton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lydia Jane Tubbs; and three brothers, Willie, Elmer, and Jimmy Hatton. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Chaplain Geoff Egbers with burial in North Middletown Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice.
