Robert Ross "Bob"  Kirkpatrick
Robert “Bob” Ross Kirkpatrick, 88, widower of Mattie McIntyre Wood Kirkpatrick passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was born September 5, 1929 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Edwin C. and Elizabeth Prewitt Kirkpatrick.
Bob was a graduate of Paris High School and Centre College, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He served with honor during the Korean War.
Bob was married to Mattie McIntyre Wood who preceded him in death. Mattie and Bob were married for 63 years. He is survived by two children, Robert McIntyre Kirkpatrick (Winfrey) of Lexington and Caroline Kirkpatrick Randolph (Tom) of Millersburg; grandchildren, William Host, Emily Host, Caroline Host, and Isabelle Randolph; and a brother, Edwin Kirkpatrick.
He was a member of the Millersburg Rotary Club, worked at the Millersburg Farmers Exchange Bank, the Deposit Bank of Carlisle, and the Millersburg Insurance Agency. Bob was a member and elder of the Millersburg Presbyterian Church and was also a U.K. Fellow.
Funeral services will be held at Millersburg Presbyterian Church on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Millersburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Millersburg Presbyterian Church, PO Box 246, Millersburg, KY 40348.
