Virginia  Crump (Spivey)
Virginia Spivey Crump, 97, a retired Kentucky Textiles production manager with 45 years of service, widow of Raymond Crump, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Cambridge Place. She was born March 1, 1920 in Irvine, Kentucky, daughter of the late Isaac and Sarah Rose Spivey. Mrs. Crump was a 45 year member of the Marie Chapter 167, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Paris Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Jan Geis, Phyllis (Allen) Cleaver, both of Lexington; eleven grandchildren, Darryl (Lynda) Geis, Richard (Cindy) Geis, John Geis, Criss (Bobby) Kuhn, Cee Geis, Kathie (Bruce) Kendrick, Michelle (Allan) Burton, Cherie (Paul) Kron, Dudley (Jenni) Banta, Roger (Sherri) Banta, Shaun (Crystal) Webster; 26 great grandchildren; and 29 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennnelle Geis; seven sisters, Della Williams, Minnie Tevis, Carrie Shumate, Florence Watson, Hallie Linville, Iva Powers, Reva Canter; and two brothers, Luther and Vernon Spivey. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Darryl Geis, Richard Geis, John Geis, Dudley Banta, Roger Banta, and Shaun Webster.
