Obituary for Charlotte Gwendolyn "Peggy" Davis (McIntyre)

Charlotte Gwendolyn McIntyre “Peggy” Davis, age 89, died January 7 in Paris, Kentucky. She was a member of North Middletown Christian Church, serving in many leadership roles at the church, including church secretary and singing in the choir for many years.
She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated from Girls High School. While working at Coca Cola after graduation, she met USAF 2nd Lieutenant W. E. Davis Jr. of North Middletown, Kentucky and they married at Peachtree Christian Church (Atlanta) in April of 1953. She remained married to Bill for over 64 years until her passing.
During their marriage, Peggy and Bill lived many places throughout America, from Georgia to Wyoming, New Jersey, Florida, and back to Kentucky, where they lived in North Middletown from 1977 until moving to Bourbon Heights in Paris in 2015. While Bill commuted to Florida for work, she looked after Dr. and Mrs. W.E. Davis, allowing them to remain at Pleasant Hill Farm until their passing. She loved to solve crossword puzzles, collected cookbooks, and gave her husband and children unconditional love.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her sons, Bill (Lisa) of Alpharetta, Georgia, Jon (Jettye) of Birmingham, Alabama; and her daughter, Debby of Paris, Kentucky.
She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Megan, Molly, Anna Rose, Lucie; two grandsons, Jed, Cody; and three great grandchildren, William, Lukas, and Olivia. She was predeceased by her grandson, Benjamin Hale.
A memorial services will be held 12:00 Noon at North Middletown Christian Church on Saturday, January 27. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Instead of flowers, please donate to North Middletown Christian Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
