Leona Pearl Burge, 80, owner of The Nail Nook, wife of Max B. Burge, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born November 24, 1937 in Waverly, West Virginia, daughter of the late Carl and Frankie Keller Haynes and was a 1955 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Parkersburg, West Virginia. In addition to her husband, Leona is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Bob) Eady; a son, David Newlon; two stepsons, Todd (Lisa) Burge, Max (Susan) Burge; two sisters, Sandy Haynes, Joyce Ann Morgan; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Mark Edward Newlon; and two sisters, Virginia Moore and Sheila Westbrook. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to American Diabetes Association.
