Judy Katherine Redding Johnson, 84, widow of Everett Johnson, Paris, KY, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died November 28, 2015. She was born January 3, 1931 in Paris, KY, daughter of Thomas Redding and Katie Lee Sanders Watkins, both of whom preceded her in death. Judy was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Paris, KY for over 50 years, where she was involved in many church activities, including visiting nursing homes, teaching the Bible to preschoolers, and providing meals to the needy, as well as other outreach ministries. Her passions were her family, sewing, gardening, quilting, and reading the Bible. Judy is retired from Hansley Mill in Paris, KY where she was a seamstress for over 30 years. She was a hard worker and took pride in maintaining a neat and orderly home. She also worked on their farm alongside her husband, Everett. Judy is survived by her son, Michael Riley Baugh (Sally), Lexington, KY; two grandchildren, Michael Baugh Jr., (Jenny), Lexington, KY, Jonathan Baugh; two great grandchildren, Rebecca Jade Baugh, Emily Riley Baugh; two sisters, Billie Marking of Central Florida, Ruby Blackburn, Vevay, IN; and a brother, John Riley Watkins Jr, Georgia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Redding Garland, Vevay, IN, Ruth Garland, Cynthiana, KY; stepfather, John Riley "Johnny" Watkins, Vevay, IN; and half brother, Earl Clark Watkins, Richmond, KY. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, at Central Baptist Church by Rev. Steven Scherer with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 829 East High Street, Paris, KY 40361 or the Alzheimer's Association.
