Cora Mae Duncan, 82, mother of Rita (Larry “Doc”) Davis and Sharon Rankin, passed away on October 22, 2016 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home in Paris, Kentucky. She was born on March 13, 1934 in Madison County, Kentucky to the late William and Hattie Prewitt.
In addition to her daughters, she is survived by 2 grandchildren, Julie (Harry Wayne) Laytart and Michael Davis and her very special great-grandson, Bradley Laytart. She was employed at Overby’s Restaurant in Paris and manager at Howard Johnson’s Restaurant for over 20 years.
Funeral Services will be held at the Hinton Turner Funeral Home in Paris, Kentucky. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Giffin officiating. Casket bearers are Harry Wayne Laytart II, Michael Davis, Chris Howard, Jason Morrison, and Steven Marshall. Honorary bearers are Larry “Doc” Davis and Bradley Laytart.
The family is deeply appreciative for the excellent and loving care given by the Bourbon Heights Nursing Home staff and the passionate care from the staff at Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Memorial donations can be made to the Paris Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) and the Paris Church of the Nazarene.
