Dovie Lucille Adams Allen, 94, homemaker, member of Antioch Christian Church, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 at UK HealthCare Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born January 6, 1924 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Oren Kelly and Eva Alden Seagrave Adams. Mrs. Allen is survived by her son, Jimmy Ray (Kathleen Daniel) Allen; three grandchildren, LaDonna Rae Burton, Darrin Scott Allen (and Jennifer Allen), Gary Kris Allen; nine great grandchildren, Cassey Rae Groves, Paul Eugene (Micah) Groves III, Daniel Adams (Whitney) Burton, Macy Nicole Allen, Landon Reif Allen, Courtney Renee Allen, Chelsea Lynne Allen, Logan Bailey Allen, Parker Craig Allen; ten great, great grandchildren, Paul Eugene Groves IV, Noah Bradley Groves, Evelyn Bernice Sanning, Laina Rae Turner, Madison Leigh Burton, Mason Ryley Burton, Eden Faye Lanter, Dawson Kris Adams, Caiden Layne Patrick, Adaleigh Grace Burton; a special family friend, Betty Terry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Herman Allen, three sisters, Erma Jean Payne, Billie Jo Milton, and Vivian Hazlette, and a brother, Tommy Adams. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Paul Groves III and Jeff Sames, with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Darrin Allen, Gary Allen, Paul Groves III, Daniel Burton, Logan Allen, Landon Allen, Parker Allen, Mason Turner, and Andrew Lanter. Honorary bearers will be LaDonna Burton, Jennifer Allen, Christy Nash, Cassey Groves, Macy Allen, Kirsten Hagen, Courtney Allen, Chelsea Allen, John Adams, Jim and Jo Ann Gullett, Bobby and Marsha Sloan, Sam and Evelyn Bologna, Curtis and Wanda Cole, Troy Burton, Allen Carr, Betty Terry, and Jodie Kidd. Visitation will be ¬¬5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Antioch Christian Church, 5362 Paris Pike, Lexington, KY 40511.
