Trina Coons Bussell, wife of William B. Bussell, departed this life on September 9, 2019, in Lexington, having attained the age of 61. She was born on October 19, 1957, in Paris, the daughter of the late James Edward Coons, Jr and Patsy Faye Harney Coons, who survives. Trina was a 1975 graduate of Paris High School, had received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Kentucky, and worked as a secretary for the Paris Independent School Board of Education. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chet David Coons, a sister, Patricia Jo Coons; and sister-in-law, Sallie Wasson Coons.

Besides her mother, Patsy, she is survived by her husband, William B. Bussell, and their daughters, Megan Bussell Mattox (Shane), and Emma Kate Bussell (Andrew Steele). Also surviving are three grandchildren, Riley Christine Bussell, Kennedy Shae Mattox, and William David Mattox; a brother, Gregory Dee Coons, and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Trina Coons Bussell will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation with Rev. Daniel Fister officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery with urn bearers being Christy Jo Hurst and Phillips Wagner. Honorary bearers are Lauren Holt, Scott Coons, Byron Coons, Siena Coons, Elizabeth Waugh, Molly Blake, Brandon Coons and James Coons.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
