Obituary for Alice Dean Witt (Lucas)

Alice Dean Witt, 72, wife of Luther “Ricky” Witt, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at her home. She was born December 23, 1949 in Cynthiana, daughter of the late John Buford “J.B.” and Mattie Bell Irvine Lucas. Alice was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, a former employee of BP, and was a member of Silas Baptist Church. She had enjoyed softball, bowling, playing Bunco, but most of all, loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Alice is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Bill) Griffieth, Stephanie (Rob) Arrowood; a son, Clayton Thomas “Tom” (Melissa) Witt; five grandchildren, Nate (Mikayla) Arrowood, Samantha “Katie” (Evan) Mobley, Jake Arrowood, Clay Witt, Gabe Witt; six great grandchildren, Rylan, Cayson, Cam, and Millie Mobley, and Blakely and Madden Arrowood; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Dalton Arrowood; and two brothers, John B. Lucas Jr. and Sammy K. Lucas.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the funeral home with Rev. Curtis Coots officiating. Interment will be in the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Nate Arrowood, Jake Arrowood, Clay Witt, Gabe Witt, Evan Mobley, and Adam Humphrey.
