Alma Jean Toohey, widow of William Edward Toohey, Sr., departed this life on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Hospice Care Center in Lexington, having attained the age of 90 years. She was born on February 04, 1929, in North Middletown, KY, the daughter of the late Carlton M. and Mary Alice Myers Wells.
Surviving are her children, Mary Muntz, Betty Toohey, William E. Toohey, Jr. and Thomas A. Toohey; five grandchildren, Laura Brandon (Rhode), Teri Toohey (Stephen), Eric Toohey (Tyree), Aaron Toohey (Danielle), and Ashley Muntz, nine great-grandchildren, Ivey, Dayne and Terin Chrisco, Jacob Peters, Elizabeth and Seth Toohey, Brylee Blanton, Mason and Jessica Toohey and a sister, Ruby Wells Wilson.
Mass of Christian Burial for Alma Jean Toohey will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation with Rev. Daniel Fister officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery with casket bearers being Eric Toohey, Seth Toohey, Dayne Chrisco, Rhode Brandon, Stephen Workman and Tom Burke. The Knights of Columbus, Council 1955 will serve as honorary casket bearers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, December 19th at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm.
