Obituary for Ayleen C. Sale

Ayleen C. Sale, widow of Gordan A. Sale, departed this life at her home on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, having attained the age of 93. She was born in Union County, Kentucky on October 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Loda and Floy Cobb Crook and was a high school graduate. Ayleen worked for twenty-two and one-half years as a medical secretary for Dr. Wever and was an active member of Central Baptist Church. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Charles Crook.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce W. Sale of Lexington and Michael O. Sale (Gwendolyn) of Paris. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stacey Elizabeth Sale, Regan Nicholas (Matt), Michael Todd Sale (Amber); a great-grandson, Trent; former daughter-in-law, Betsy Sale; and a special friend, Sarah Means.

The funeral service for Ayleen C. Sale will be on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 12 Noon, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.
