Obituary for Barbara Ann Tincher (Bishop)
Barbara Ann Bishop Tincher, widow of Gerald Ray Tincher, departed this life on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at her home, with family by her side, having attained the age of 89 years. Barbara was born in Bourbon County on March 08, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Bowles Bishop, loved being a farmer as well as a homemaker, a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church, the Women’s Missionary Union, and in her spare time enjoyed both gardening and fishing. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Campbell, and two grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry (Malcomb) Witt, Vicky Crump; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Nellie Jones, Nancy Lanter, Shiela Mers, Shelby Barnett, and Tom (Marsha) Bishop.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Esther Sapp officiating. Interment will be in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Eric Kissick, Victor Kissick, Bobby Crump, Malcomb Witt, Glenn Scott, and Rick Claypool. Honorary bearers are the deacons of Spears Mill Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
