Obituary

William Arnold “Billy” Williams, widower of June Bedford Smith Williams, departed this life on Friday, January 10, 2020, at Bourbon Community Hospital, at the age of 92 years old. Billy was born on November 17, 1927 in Bourbon County, the son of the late NH and Della Spivey Williams and was a graduate of North Middletown High School where he demonstrated his excellent talent as a basketball player for North Middletown. He loved sports, especially playing golf, bowling, having participated in various leagues, an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the University of Kentucky, and enjoyed camping with his family. He was a retired manager for Century Furniture, later worked for Garrett’s Furniture and was a member of the Paris First United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Pam McCarty and husband Donnie; grandchildren, Shea McCarty (Robert Tillery), and Heather Dale (Jason); and five great grandchildren, Courtney Puckett, Nathan Puckett, Caden Dale, Ethan Dale and Owen Dale.

The funeral service for William Arnold “Billy” Williams, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Paris First United Methodist Church with Rev. Eliseo A. Mejia officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Jason Dale, Robert Tillery, Nathan Puckett, Ethan Dale, Steve Roberson, and Jesse Crockett. Honorary bearers are Dr. Nathan Moore, Jennifer Kiskaden, Kenneth and Carol Fowler, Steve and Mary Morrison, Larry and Judy Gray, Pat Bates, Doug Garrett, Bruce Forsythe, William Thomas Adkins, and the Bourbon Barrel crew.

Visitation will be on Monday between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
