Obituary for Brad Hays

William Bradley “Brad” Hays, of Paris, departed this life on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky, having attained the age of 48 years. Brad was born on November 30, 1973, in Richmond, Kentucky, the son of Patty Haney and Jim Hays, was a graduate of Lafayette High School as well as Devry Technical Institute in Columbus, Ohio, and a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. He loved golfing, billiards, spending time in nature, and all his animals. He was great at carpentry and had worked in the Hartland Association displaying his skills in the area of landscaping, painting and various carpentry projects.

In addition to his mother Patty Haney, and his father and stepmother, Jim and Pam Hays, he is survived by a sister, Hollie (Jeffrey) Hart; nieces, Eva and Ellie Hart; and a nephew, Sam Hart. Also surviving is a special aunt and uncle, Mona and Paul Lyons; cousins, Debbie Ballengee, Randy (Lezlie) Lyons, Kim (Billy) Perkins, and Darrell Lyons. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ira and Iva Haney.

The funeral service for William Bradley “Brad” Hays will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
