Obituary for Charles Moore "Chick" Garrison Sr.
Charles Moore “Chick” Garrison, Sr., 76, widower of the late Mary Margaret Wood Garrison, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020. Born in Harrison County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Edward Huffman and Onie Ruth Spencer Garrison.
He was a retired machine operator from Trane and a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed family, fishing, and Kentucky basketball.
He is survived by his children, Robin Garrison, Rene Harper, Laurie (Mike) Dennis, Charles (Cassie) Garrison, Jr., and Dawn (Kent) Morris; grandchildren, Aleisha (Bradley) True, Whitney (Josh) Roland, Tony Roland, Jr., Krista (Bryce) Harney, Kristin Morris, Allison Morris, Erica (Corey) Johnson, Eddie Morris, Samantha (Ryan) Shrout, Andrea (Caden) Vanhoose, Emily Edgington, Brooke Edgington, Christian Harper, Abigail Garrison, Adam Moore Garrison, and Ashley Garrison; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Marty) Garrison and Doug (Kathy) Garrison, and one sister, Wanda Whitaker; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Charles Moore “Chick” Garrison, Sr. will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with pallbearers being David Allen, Billy Spencer, Eric Johnson, Tony Roland, Bradley True, and Bryce Harney. Honorary bearers are Tiffany Lake, Chad Dennis, and Josh Tillery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
