Life Story for Christie J. Emmons (Eversole)

Christie Eversole Emmons, age 97, widow of the late Alvin L. Emmons, Sr., died at her residence on Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was born on February 25, 1921 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Isaac and Sally Baker Eversole. Also preceding her in death are her siblings, Vera Joseph, Gene Eversole, Ruth Melton, Keith Eversole, a son, Alvin L. Emmons, Jr. and daughter Bessie Graves, 4 step grandchildren James Dufresne, Roger Dufresne, Robin Dufresne and Louis Graves. She attended Ruddles Mill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her two sons, Richard (Helen) Emmons, Larry Emmons, grandchildren, Christy (Jamie) Liver, Shane Witt, Louie (Libby) Emmons, Kim and Melody Dufresne and Doug Graves. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Kimberly (Nate) and Conner Liver, Trenton and Ethan Witt, Luke Emmons, and Mark Von Mandel as well as several step grandchildren and siblings, Carolyn (Robert) Fields, Bob (Bell) Eversole, Paul (Lydia) Eversole, Lois (Willie) Miller, Joyce Lindsay, Ann (Don) Pettit, and special friends Ronnie and Trudy Cameron, Brenda McIllvain, Deidre McCarty, and Suzy Lucky Smits.
The funeral service for Christine Eversole Emmons will be on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Hinton Turner Funeral home with Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with Casket Bearers being Trenton Witt, James Liver, Nate Watkins, Mark Sampson, Timothy Sampson and Louie Emmons with Honorary Bearers being Dr. C. Ray Young, Dr. Mike Wall, Buddy Buckler, Jerome Harney, Tommy Hays, Gayle Liver and Members of Ruddles Mill United Methodist Church.
Visitation is requested by the family on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Hinton Turner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Bluegrass Hospice care and can be made at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
