Obituary for Clarice Bell (Morgan)

Clarice Morgan Bell, 90, of Hoboken, Georgia, passed away September 9, at Bourbon Heights, Paris, KY. She was born February 15, 1931, in Nahunta, GA to the late Colonel Ebinezer and Cannie Donie Harris Morgan. Clarice married Mitchel Bell February 21, 1945.

Clarice was a lifelong member of Mount Calvary Baptist church in Hoboken, and a member of the Okefenokee Eastern Star of Waycross. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, and cooking for family, friends and community events. She loved sitting on her front porch with Mitchel and greeting all who drove by or stopped for a visit. A glass of ice tea and a rocking chair were always ready for visitors.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mitchel Leon Bell, son Eddie Mitchel Bell, stepmother Inez Morgan, and five brothers, Brooker, Edgar, Rudolph, Fenton, and Royce Morgan.

Clarice is survived by three children and their spouses: Dewayne and Betty Bell of Fernandina Beach, FL, Steve and Leta Bell of Jacksonville, FL, Donna and Ralph Quillin of Paris, KY; two brothers and sisters-in-law Glynn and Betty Morgan, Reagan and Marilyn Morgan; one sister Betty Jean Stewart of Blackshear, GA; eight grandchildren, Chuck (Tasha) Bell, Missy (Wiley) Faw, Jennifer Bell-Bennett, Jessica (Waylon) Carter, Sunny (Brandon) Oliver, Vince Grupposo, Dustin (Britnee) Bell, Davie Bell; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Clarice will be buried in Pierce Chapel Cemetery in Hoboken, Georgia. Pallbearers are grandsons, Chuck Bell, Vince Grupposo, Dustin Bell, Davie Bell, Wiley Faw, and Jos Faw. www.hintonturner.com
