Della B. Crouch Mattox, of Paris, departed this life on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Bourbon Heights, having attained the age of 91 years. She was born on July 4, 1927 in Estill County, the daughter of the late Dave and Anna Woosley Crouch. She attended school in Bourbon County, was retired after having worked as a Presser and Seamstress for over fifty years at Shriver’s Laundry and Drycleaning, was a member of First Church of God and in her spare time enjoyed quilting. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Swinford Mattox, sister Ida Fletcher and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Copher Mattox.
Surviving are her two sons, Stan R. Mattox of Paris and Gary A. Mattox and wife Karen of Sarasota, Florida. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Richard Travis Mattox (Jennifer), Matthew Thomas Mattox (Paige), Cory Scott Mattox (Danielle), Seth Houston Mattox, Trevor Stanley Mattox (Stephani), as well as eight great-grandchildren; Clark Copher Mattox, Jesse Asher Mattox, Camryn Reese Mattox, Matthew Tucker Mattox, Charlotte Mattox, Bennett Mattox, Hannah Mattox and Cohen Mattox. Also surviving is one sister, Dorothy Galloway and her husband Bud of Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Della B. Crouch Mattox will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Cory Scott Mattox, Trevor Stanley Mattox, Seth Houston Mattox, Richard Travis Mattox, Matthew Thomas Mattox and Clark Copher Mattox.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening, June 10, 2019 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
