Kenneth Douglas "Doug" Himes, of Paris, husband of Gloria Blevins Himes, departed this life on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, having attained the age of 72 years. Doug was born in Paris on July 19, 1951, the son of the late Floyd B. and Helen Lorena Himes, was a high school graduate and master plumber, owning and operating his own business, Himes Plumbing, as well as working for Fayette Plumbing, Heating, and Air. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, watching football, working in his garden, and most of all, spending time with his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Himes, and sisters, Sara Michael, and Anna Hyatt.

In addition to his wife Gloria, he is survived by a brother, Mike Himes; sisters, Kay (Jim) Parrish, Betty Brophy, Linda Hawkins, Susie Wigglesworth, Deloris Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral for Doug Himes will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Celebrant Sharon Berry officiating. Interment will be in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Todd Parrish, Mark Parrish, Zach Turley, Josh Turley, Kyan Parrish, and Joseph Valdez-Parrish.
