Ernest Boggs, husband of Elizabeth McLean Boggs, of Carlisle, departed this life at Bourbon Community Hospital on January 24, 2022, having attained the age of 76 years. Ernest was born on April 06, 1945, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the son of the late Thurman and Bessie Bear Boggs and was a retired farmer. He enjoyed being a foster parent as well as fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sharon Hall, Bill Boggs, Raymond Boggs, Arnold Boggs, Nancy Arblis Stinnell, Thurman Boggs, Jr., Kenneth Boggs, Jearleen Dean, and Stanley Boggs.
In addition to his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by four sons, Dale (Helen) Boggs, Ernest (Polly) Boggs, Patrick (Carolyn) Boggs, James David Boggs; and one daughter, Brenda (David) Trenton. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and his best friend, Connie Craig.
The funeral service for Ernest Boggs will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Interment in Paris cemetery. Casket Bearers are Nathan Boggs, Fred Allen Boggs, Ernest Boggs, Jr., Patrick Joe Boggs, Joe Giles, and Bill Cameron. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
