Obituary for Gary Lee Willoughby

Gary Lee Willoughby, Sr., 70, husband of Tammy Stinnett Willoughby, a United States Army veteran, died peacefully, Saturday, October 12, 2019, at his home in Millersburg, Kentucky, under the compassionate care of Bluegrass Hospice Care, his nurse, Joleen, his Chaplain Rick, and his loving wife, who made his final days as easy as possible.

He was the son of the late Everett and Dorothy Cord Willoughby. He was retired and spent his days spoiling his best friend Tuffy. He also loved fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Herb (Linda) Willoughby; a brother-in-law, David Wayne (Brenda) Stinnett; a daughter, Angela Willoughby (Barry) Sargent; three sons, Gary Lee (Brook) Willoughby, Jr., Eli Duane (Kelly) Puckett, Jeremiah Johnson (Leana King) Stinnett; and former wife and special friend, Patricia Wethington Willoughby. He also has seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Marie Sargent, Lindsey Rose Sargent, Kaelynn Lee Willoughby, Leah Nicole Willoughby, Hunter Eli Puckett, Gunnar Levi Puckett and Miah Grace Stinnett. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Everett Willoughby and a sister, Wanda Willoughby Parlock.

A Graveside Service with full military rights, will be held for Gary Lee Willoughby at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Camp Nelson Cemetery. Inurnment will immediately follow the service.
