Gregory Lee Sharon, age 26 of Paris, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 1, 2019. Gregory was born on December 16, 1992, in Lexington, the son of Leslie and Michelle Lee Mattingly Sharon, whom survive. He was a 2012 graduate of Bourbon County High School and worked as a Sales Consultant with Dan Cummins Chevrolet, was a member of First Baptist Church and upon his death became an organ donor.
Besides his parents, Leslie and Michelle, he is survived by his wife, Sara Grubbs Sharon and a son, Conor Lee Sharon. Also surviving are his brothers; Mason Sharon (Audrey), Joshua Sharon; sister, Emily Sharon (Tyler); paternal grandparents, Marvin and Anna Bess Sharon; maternal grandmother, Linda Mattingly; maternal grandfather, Robert Mattingly (Sue); niece, Harper Lee; mother-in-law, Freda Grubbs and Jim Kerns; father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Grubbs; special friends, Rocco and Kobe; as well as several aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
The funeral service for Gregory Lee Sharon will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Kyle Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Joshua Sharon, Mason Sharon, Tyler Lee, Joshua Stephens, Ryan Sharon and John Sharon. Honorary bearers are Ed Roberts, Bobby Mattingly, Tracy Sharon, David Sharon, A.J. Short, Darvin Thomas, Frankie Grubbs, Halen Stamper, Alex Preston, Ryan Charles, and all of his motorcycle riding buddies.
The family request friends to call on Friday evening, July 5, 2019, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church.
