Obituary for Harold D. "Bud" Quigley

Harold D. “Bud” Quigley died at his home on Saturday, February 22, 2020. He was 87 years young. Bud was born December 3, 1932 in Saint Augustine, Florida, son of the late Mary D. Quigley, Cynthiana, Kentucky and Frank S. Quigley, Saint Augustine, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anne S. Quigley; a daughter, Christee (Roger) Gordon; two grandsons, Chris Hunt, Paris, Paul Hunt, Versailles; three great granddaughters, Evelyn Hunt, Olivia Hunt, Madelynn Morris; special friends, Erica Crockett, Annabelle, Jonah, Renee, Luke; and other family living in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a son, Stephen S. Quigley.
Bud was a graduate of Cynthiana High School, Class of 1950. He spent four years in the United States Air Force, three years stationed in Great Britain. Bud was a 39 year employee of IBM and Lexmark and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. He had a passionate interest and love for his pet dogs, jazz and spiritual music, and sports of all kinds but especially his Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Fister officiating. Inurnment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Urn bearers will be Chris Hunt and Paul Hunt. Honorary bearers will be Roger Gordon, Earl Waugh, Keith Waugh, Todd Waugh, Michael Robin, Ben Robin, Bobby Atchison, Steve Webb, Josh Webb, Chad Hudnall, and Chris Holbrook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of Annunciation choir or one’s favorite charity.
