Obituary for Harold Clark Soper

Harold Clark Soper, husband of Linda Fightmaster Soper, departed this life on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, having attained the age of 74 years. Harold was born on March 10, 1946 in Paris, Kentucky, the son of the late Kenneth and Iva Jean Crouch Soper, was a 1964 graduate of Bourbon County High School, a four-year member of the Future Farmers of America, and played several sports. He was retired having worked as a shipping manager for IBM/Lexmark; a certified rock and stone mason; a lifetime member of Little Rock Christian Church where he served as treasurer for over thirty years, an elder and deacon; a member of Bourbon County Farm Bureau; a conservationist; an avid gardener; a bird enthusiast; and being civic minded, was a member of many various other boards.

In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by a daughter, Kari Junkin and her husband, Danial as well as one grandchild, Eden Grace Junkin. Also surviving is a brother, Kenwood Soper and his wife Marcella, an aunt, Sue Frazier, as well as several nieces, a nephew, and cousins.

The funeral service for Harold Clark Soper will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Joel Schoolar, Donald Shaw, Greg Sallee, Kerry Elliott, Donald Clark Soper, and Danial Junkin. Honorary bearers are Wilburn Dale, Buddy Dawson, Rex Rawlings, and Steve Hudson.
