James Stanley Martin Sr., age 68, died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his home. He was born November 22, 1952 in North Middletown, Kentucky, son of the late Oliver Clay and Lillie Belle Frederick Martin. He was a retired farrier for Stone Farm and was a veteran of the United States Army. James was a caring, dependable, strong, hardworking, and loyal man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography, and watching The Walking Dead, Mountain Man, and Alaskan People.
He is survived by three sons, James S. “Jimmy” Martin Jr., Dwayne (Tiffany) Martin, David (Swanda) Martin; two daughters, Audra (Paul) Thacker, Lori Martin; siblings, John Martin, Jeff Martin, Larry (Janie) Martin, Robert (Lisa) Martin, Floyd Martin, Alan (Mona) Martin, Delores (David) Bailey; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Martin and Oliver Clay Martin Jr.
