Obituary for Jean Argo (Burns)

Gloria Jean Argo, of Paris, Kentucky, widow of Otis Clay Argo, Jr., departed this life on Friday, March 24, 2023, at her granddaughter’s home in Stanford, Kentucky, surrounded by family, at the age of 96 years. Jean was born on January 26, 1927, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Conley David and Opal Moreland Burns, was a graduate of Paris High School, was a member of Central Baptist Church where she fulfilled the role of Sunday School teacher, and a member of WMU. She was retired from having worked as a private duty sitter as she genuinely loved people, especially youth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Clay Burns, Fred Ronald Burns, William Kenny Burns, and Conley David Burns, Jr.

Surviving is a son, William Ronald “Bill” (Pamela Rose) Argo; a daughter, Judy Argo Everman; grandchildren, Brittany Nichole Lynn “Nicki” Everman, and Holly Michelle (Zak) Argo. Also surviving are the great grandchildren, Clay Allen Argo Pike, Isabella Jeannifer Mischelle Pike, and Arielle Dawn Argo.

There will be a private service held for family only at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dan Russell. Interment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens with casket bearers being Zak Argo, Corey Davis, John Burns, Nicki Everman, Holly Argo, and Bill Argo. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
