Obituary for Jean Soper (Crouch)

Iva Jean Crouch Soper of Little Rock, widow of Kenneth Clark Soper, departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Bourbon Heights, having attained the age of 94 years. She was born in Nicholas County on June 10, 1925, the daughter of the late Henry Hord and Lena Mae Jordan Crouch, was a 1944 graduate of Carlisle High School, a devoted homemaker to her family, a member of Bourbon County Homemakers, a quilter, volunteer at Bourbon Heights for twenty-one years, and a member of Little Rock Christian Church for 73 years. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Crouch.

Surviving are two sons, Harold C. Soper (Linda), and Kenwood C. Soper (Marcella); three grandchildren, Donald Clark Soper (Crystal), Rebecca Rich (Rodney), and Kari Junkin (Daniel). Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Eden Grace Junkin, Kendall Soper, and McKenzie Soper; as well as one sister, Sue Crouch Frazier.

The funeral service for Iva Jean Crouch Soper will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Rex Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being, Rex Rawlings, Joel Schoolar, Randy Roberts, Parke Carter, Buddy Dawson, Rodney Rich, and Donald Clark Soper. Honorary bearers are Matthew Johnson, Larry Elliott and Steve Hudson. The family request friends to call after 12:00 noon until time for the service.
