Joe Allen Hollon, of Georgetown, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, having attained the age of 63 years. Joe was born in Paris, Kentucky, on April 6, 1958, the son of the late Fred Hollon and Mary Katherine Paul Long, was employed at Eastern State Hospital where he worked in medical records and attended Calvary Christian Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling where he ran the bowling league; collected eagles, loved watching sports, especially, the University of Kentucky, and enjoyed fishing as well as playing cornhole. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Jolly and Brenda Hollon.

Surviving are two sons, Trevor Hollon, Erik (Hannah) Hollon; a daughter, Teasha (Daniel) Hatfield; six grandchildren, Christopher Hawkins, Derek (Carli) Hawkins, Rebekah Wolfe, Dallas Hollon, Alexis Hollon, and Levi Hollon. Also surviving is one great grandchild, Laelynn Hawkins; one step great grandchild, Jaxon Clark; two sisters, Barbara (Ronnie) Traylor, Carolyn Glander; and one special “brother”, Eugene Wagoner.

The funeral service for Joe Allen Hollon will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service. www.hintonturner.com
