Obituary for Katherine Hatton (Estes)

Katherine Hatton, widow of Vertner Roosevelt Hatton, departed this life on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, at 83 years of age. Katherine was born in Estill County on June 24, 1939, the daughter of the late Luesenday Stamper and Hiram Estes, Sr., was a retired caregiver and of the Christian faith. In her younger days you would often find her dancing, and later in life she enjoyed watching westerns. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randall Dean Hatton, and a granddaughter, Courtney Kendall.

Surviving is a son, Rick (Kim) Hatton; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Kendall, Cheryl (Larry) Doucet; grandchildren, Megan Hatton, Jacqueline Doucet, Nathan Hatton, Whitney (Tyler) Davidson, Larry (Amy) Doucet, II, and Alex (Belle) Kendall. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Audrey Hatton, Tyler Hatton, Mason Hatton, Morgan Hatton, Hunter Davidson, Hayden Davidson, Kingston Rankin, Korbyn Kendall, Lily Bretz, Tripp Doucet; a sister, Brenda Fowler; and a special cousin, Pat Martin.

There will be no visitation, but the funeral service for Katherine Hatton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Larry Doucet, Nathan Hatton, Larry Doucet II, Ron Estes, Mike Kendall, and Tyler Hatton.
