Mamie Hatton Reed, widow of Sam Edward Reed, formerly of Paris, departed this life on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at her home in Georgetown, Kentucky have attained the age of 87 years. Mamie was born on July 6, 1934, in Bourbon County, the daughter of the late Ollie Jackson and Willie Hatton, Sr., was a homemaker, and of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Reed, a son, Michael Lee Reed, siblings, Pearlie Webb, Jean Brunker, Willie Hatton, Jr., Pierce Hatton, and son-in-law, Larry Vice.

Surviving is a daughter, Kathy L. Vice, and a son, Duane Reed and his wife Susan. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Renee l. Vice, Joshua D. Hampton and husband, Bryan; and a great grandchild, Kiera J. Ransom.

The graveside service for Mamie Hatton Reed will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at North Middletown cemetery with Celebrant Sharon L. Berry officiating. Interment will immediately follow with casket bearers being Don DePriest, Tony Crump, Larry Stevenson, Josh Hampton, Buddy Fletcher, Donnie Brown, and Bryan Hampton. Honorary bearers are Renee Vice and Kiera Ransom.
