Obituary for Martha Stephens "Bop" Carr (Woodford)

Martha Stephens Woodford “Bop” Carr age 67, of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. She was born in Bourbon County, on April 17, 1953, the daughter of the late William and Kent Forman Hill Woodford; was a graduate of the class of 1971 from Paris High School; had received her certification as an x-ray technician; former Bourbon County Deputy Sheriff; retired PVA Deputy, having worked in both Harrison and Bourbon County; loved boating and lake life; and was a member of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Delwood Davie Carr, as well as a niece, Elizabeth Ann Gardner, and her aunt, Betsy Brooks Woodford.

Surviving is a brother, William Archer Woodford and his wife Carolyn; a sister, Kathy Grayson and her husband Larry; nephews, William Michael Woodford (Chloe), Robert Todd Wiegele (Kelly); nieces, Emily Brooks Grayson, and Rebecca Neal Grayson.

The memorial service for Martha Stephens Woodford “Bop” Carr will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Whit Criswell officiating. Inurnment will be in Paris Cemetery. A memorial gathering will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
