Obituary for Paul Clinton Sponcil

Paul Clinton Sponcil, 91, widower of Alma Pearl Jones Sponcil, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born February 1, 1929 in Mount Sterling, son of the late Fred and Ola Wiggington Sponcil. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired foreman for Central Kentucky Supply.
He is survived by two sons, Larry (Kathy) Sponcil, Mike (Cecilia) Sponcil; seven grandchildren, Chad (Andrea) Sponcil, Kelley Sponcil, Tracey (Kyle) Price, Camryn Sponcil, Tabitha (Thomas) Downs, Michael Leito, Christy Greene; five great grandchildren, Ryan Sponcil, Brynna Sponcil, Harper Downs, Lincoln Downs, Collins Price; two sisters, Delores “Toddy” (J.C.) Paisley, Dorothy Baker; and two brothers, Clarence “Sonny” (Joyce) Sponcil and Freddy Sponcil. Paul was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Paul Sponcil; a daughter, Brenda Ann Sponcil; a sister, Helen Anderson; and two brothers, Bugs Sponcil and Dallas Sponcil.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Brother David Campbell officiation. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chad Sponcil, Thomas Downs, Kyle Wayne Price, Barry Barnes, Billy Berryman, and John Turner.
