Obituary for Pierce Hatton

Pierce Hatton, age 90, of North Middletown, departed this life on Friday, June 12, 2020, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. He was born in Bourbon County on April 12, 1930, the son of the late Ollie Jackson and Willie Hatton, Sr.; a United States Army Veteran; was a retired farmer; an avid coon hunter; and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death was his wife, Avanell Childers Hatton; two sisters, Pearlie May Webb, Jean Brunker; and one brother, Willie Hatton, Jr.

Surviving are his daughters, Carolyn Sue Frazier, Rita (Mike) Williams; grandchildren, Michael (Chris) Williams, Jr., Rodney (Carrie) Williams, Lee (Krystal) Frazier, and Nathan (Stephanie)Frazier. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Landon, Kennedy, Trevor, Tatum, and Noelyn Williams; Amellia, Branson, Jocelyn, Paisley, Jacob, Bryson, Kaiden, and Jackson Frazier; one sister, Mamie Reed; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service for Pierce Hatton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Wayne Curtis officiating. Interment will be in North Middletown Cemetery with casket bearers being Michael Williams, Jr., Rodney Williams, Lee Frazier, Nathan Frazier, Branson Frazier, and Jacob Frazier. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. www.hintonturner.com
