Obituary for Ruth Edith Miller (Foran)

Ruth Edith Miller departed this life peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at her residence with family by her side, having attained the age of 90 years. She was born January 5, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Patrick Foran, received her associate degree in early childhood development and was a retired school teacher. On January 27, 1951, she married the late Lt. John Joseph Miller of the United States Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, John J. Miller, Jr., James W. Miller and wife Diane, Michael J. Miller and wife Kathe; a daughter, Susan L. Miller; a grandson, Brian Miller; and granddaughter, Marquelle A. Holston.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia (Chad) Fuller; a son, Mark (Melodie) Miller; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Ruth Edith Miller will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. A private interment will follow with casket bearers being Mark Miller, Chad Fuller, Steven Toungate, Shane Lambert, Jacob Robinson, and Aaron Banik. Honorary bearers are the Elders of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
