Sammy Kent McCord, Sr., 72, a retired farmer, husband of Norma Merrill McCord, died Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Saint Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center. He was born October 6, 1948 in Paris, son of the late Robert and Lorraine McKenzie McCord. Sammy attended Paris High School and was a member of the Paris City Club.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; a daughter, Kim Williams; two grandchildren, Morgan Williams, Bryce Perkins; two brothers, Larry McCord, William “Jack” (Teresa) McCord; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Kent “Puddin” McCord, Jr.; and brothers, Lonnie, Bobby, Marvin, Gayle, and Johnny McCord.
