Margaret Sue Ramey, widow of William Payne Ramey, departed this life on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at her home in Paris with her loving family surrounding her, having attained the age of 74 years. Sue was born in Nicholas County on January 30, 1948, the daughter of the late Dorothy Ritchie and Clark Steele, Sr., was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, and served her family well as a homemaker. She had quite the green thumb which was exemplified in beautiful flower gardens and was a member of the Silas Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Allison Ramey, and a sister, Phyllis Jenkins.

Surviving are three sons, Brandon (Jamie) Ramey, William (Anita) Ramey, Robert Ramey; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ramey, Shannon Ramey, Jaxson Ramey, Zach Hazlett, Taylor Westerfield, and Emma Hazlett. Also surviving is a sister, Jean Taylor; and brother, Clark Steel Jr.

The graveside service for Margaret Sue Ramey will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the Paris Cemetery Chapel at 12 noon with Rev. Curtis Coots officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
