Obituary for Susan Parrish (Hyde)

Susan Hyde Parrish, widow of David C, Parrish, Jr, passed away peacefully with her family at her side March 17, 2021. Susie was the daughter of the late Helen Duncan Hyde and Joseph L. Hyde, Jr. She was born in Ishpeming, Michigan August 23,1924. She is survived by a brother Joseph L. Hyde, Jr, a son Rodes Shackelford Parrish, daughters Helen Parrish Beach (Charlie) and Leslie Parrish Isaacs (Bruce); grandchildren Taylor Beach Moloney (Whit), Charles Beach IV (Ceci), David Parrish Isaacs (Sydney), and William Stewart Isaacs; great grandchildren Elliott and Fielding Moloney, Louise and Henry Isaacs, and Eliza and Shack Beach. She was predeceased by a sister, Harriette Hyde Rowlands.

Susie was extremely active in the Lexington and Paris community and St. Peter's Episcopal Church. She was also a former Board member of Sayre School as well as a member of Keeneland, Idle Hour Country Club, and the Thoroughbred Club of America. Susie graduated from The Oxford School and Bradford Junior College.

There was always room in her heart for others as she and her husband Dave opened their home to friends of their children, over-seas students working on local horse farms as well as many others from across the globe and America.
