Obituary for Tommy Skeen II

Charles Thomas “Tommy” Skeen, II, 53, of Paris, departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Tommy was born on April 17, 1967 in Corbin, Kentucky, the son of C. Thomas “Tom” and Toni DeNitto Skeen, was a member of the 1985 graduating class from Paris High School where he was an All-State football player, All-Conference baseball player, and elected into the Paris High School Hall of Fame. In 1989 he graduated from Washington & Lee University receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, was a small college All-American football player in ODAC; and member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He was retired having worked as the Executive Director for Bourbon County Health Department and oversaw the expansion and construction of the new Health Department building; worked as a sales accountant at Concepts Packaging in Georgetown; volunteer bookkeeper and member of Paris City Club; and member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation.
In addition to his parents Tom and Toni, he is survived by two sisters, Kim (John) Houlihan, Jennifer (Richard) Hinkson; nieces and nephews, Holland Houlihan, Victoria (Adam) Ridgway, Jared (Taylor) Hinkson, Veronica Hinkson, Johnie Hinkson, and Leah Hinkson. Also surviving are his aunts, Mary DeNitto, Joy (Tim) DeNitto, Rita DeNitto Young; a cousin, Matthew (Janice) Bowman; and a stepson, Austin (Rebecca) Skeen.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation, with Rev. Daniel Fister officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be John Houlihan, Richard Hinkson, Jared Hinkson, Matthew Bowman, Mark Allen Crain, and Jeff Hanna. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Skeen, Randy Reese, Rob Zoller, Randy McMillen, Mike Chumbley, and member of the Paris City Club.
